Do not memorize 47 separate parties.

Use party patterns. Most of the first 18 fall into a few groups.

First 18 Party Pattern

1: Washington = No Party
2: John Adams = Federalist
3–5: Jefferson, Madison, Monroe = Democratic-Republican
6: John Quincy Adams = National-Republican
7–8: Jackson, Van Buren = Democrat
9–10: Harrison, Tyler = Whig
11: Polk = Democrat
12–13: Taylor, Fillmore = Whig
14–15: Pierce, Buchanan = Democrat
16: Lincoln = Republican
17: Andrew Johnson = Democrat
18: Grant = Republican

1. Read the party pattern twice.
Do not stare at the full table first.
2. Party Drill until 90%+.
Fast recognition matters more than slow thinking.
3. Fact Drill first 18.
Only two strong facts per president.
4. Practice Test.
Write order, party, and facts from memory.
5. Last thing before sleep:
One complete first-18 brain dump.
